Oregon Dixieland Jubilee- 2008 Ovation Award Winner February 25th thru 27th , 2011
|
Travel and Lodging: Seaside Oregon is located approximately (90) miles West of Portland Oregon. The Oregon Coast Highway (HWY 101) runs through Seaside allowing for access for revelers coming from north of town, or south. Most Travelers take the Sunset Highway ( HWY 26), west from the Portland area, then north on Highway 101. This route takes you over the Summit of the Oregon Coast Range. Roads are normally clear of snow and other hazardous conditions, but remember, the Jubilee is held in February so check for warnings, or restrictions, before you leave. The Portland International Airport is serviced by most major airlines and rental car agencies. In addition, Portland has Amtrak service and interstate bus service. Seaside and the surrounding area has a variety of lodging options available. This is a three day event and although you may not want to, you do need to sleep sometime. There is camping, both tent and RV, B&B's, vacation home rentals, and Hotels and Motels. Lodging options run from the very quaint, to the extravagant, and many have generously supported the Jubilee and offer special Festival rates.
